Stopped feeding! ~ Body language and breastfeeding......

I had been considering stopping DD2's breastfeeds. After I made the decision to stop feeding her I still found there were many times she wouldn't accept 'no' for an answer.

I then had to go on medication and from that point absolutely couldn't feed her. From the minute I got home with this in mind, she stopped demanding feeds.

I think prior to this despite my intention to stop feeding my body language said otherwise . Since that point though, it has been extremely easy. Has anyone experienced similar?

Time and again throughout my second breastfeeding experience I've come to realise how important the subconscious and body language are to breastfeeding going smoothly, even smoothly stopping breastfeeding!

I would agree, when I was in hospital and on a drip and obviously ill, ds didn't ask. Then when I got home he asked and I explained that he couldn't because mummy was still poorly. And that was that.

Before that we had been doing don't offer, don't refuse and I really think he may have kept going forever.
