I know this is probably a stupid question but I don't want to ask ina shop as they will probably just point me in the direction of the most expensive kit. I want to start expressing milk for my baby, I use Avent bottles and have an Avent steriliser so do I have to buy an Avent breast pump or can I buy a Medela one and use it with Avent bottles? And will it fit in an Avent steriliser?

Are the electric Avent breast pumps any good?

Sorry for the overuse of the word Avent.

avent bottles won't fit on the medela pumps no, but you could always buy bags instead... they'll fit any pump

or buy the avent pump, then your bottles will fit onto it

Thanks a mill for the reply. I thought that might be the case.

I can recommend the Medela pump. It comes with a bottle, so you could express into the Medela bottle and just pour into an Avent bottle for storage/feeding.

I use a medela pump, store it in the freezer in a bag and ds4 gets the milk in an avent bottle. Have used an avent pump as well.
