Have 3 mnth old who has breast fed pretty well up until wk and half ago, now spends most of feed coming on and off breast and is not feeding for as long each time and not taking any more feeds in day. Worried she's not getting enough grub as only put on 2ozs this wk. Feeling frustrated and thinking of stopping BF.

Hi Weeme80
You've got a sociable child, she's getting more interested in what's going on around her rather than having a feed. You could try feeding her in a quiet room with no stimulation so she's not popping on and off all the time. I had to do this if we were at friends houses or had people round or I'd spend most of my time with my boob out and a child too busy looking about.

She's probably getting more efficient at feeding so not taking quite so long so don't worry about her not feeding for as long as she did.

As long as she's got enough wet and dirty nappies and is sleeping ok, I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Hope it goes ok.

Thankyou NikkiTwinkle

I'll give that a go and see how we do. She is a nosey wee thing and likes to see what is going on around her.
