Mixing Breast Milk and Fomula together - can you do it

A friend of mine is trying to move her DD (7 months) onto formula, she has been exclusively breastfed upto now. She will take expressed breast milk from a bottle but not formula. Any tips please

HWn my baby was in SBU they mixed the breast with formula in the same bottle. Apparently this reduced the risk of allergic response to cow's milk formula. I imagine it would be a good way to introduce the taste of formula.
