'Weird sized' boobs apparently

Hi Everyone,

Today I had the mortifying experience, in a leading high street store famed for its undies, that having breastfed my 9 month old until now I now have 'weird' sized boobs. The only bra they can sell me, I was told, is a mastectomy one as my boobs have shrunk faster than my post pregnancy flab and I am a 40A :( :( . I was never much blessed in the boob department before I had dd but felt that, as we're down to two feeds a day now 'the girls' have done sterling service and needed some more support than a nursing bra. I was looking forward to getting a nice bra. Does anyone know any store that caters to this size.

I personally would go somewhere else and get a second fitting done. I wouldn't believe it til I had 2 separate identical measurements.

'Leading high street store' is rubbish at measuring anyway. Go to an independent lingerie shop or a Bravissimo if you have the option.

Wow what a trauma
I go to someone on a market stall and she looks at my boobs and finds the perfect size - she is known as the bra doctor and is gr8 but unfortunately in Erdington near birmingham.

If you do an online search someone might come up

If the store you speak of is also famed for it's ready meals then I'd strongly advise getting measured elsewhere. I was measured their for a nursing bra and they measured me at 40C which fit really badly. I was then measured properly by a local lady who did home visits and they measured me at 36E which fits perfectly.

there not their....where the feck has my grammar gone since giving birth!!

Paschaelina · 17/04/2011 19:28

I bet you have a smaller back and bigger cup size. Most people seem to.

LionsnTigersnBears · 17/04/2011 19:36

Yep, famous for its ready meals! Thanks I will do. I'm not so much horrified at the size, if they are they are, but I was made to feel so silly really. I mean ok, they're not enormous but they do what their made for and my dd still grins when she sees them so they can't be all bad right? And ok, yes I am a bit baggy. I've had 9 months of sleepfree nights surely I can be forgiven for that? But the attitude was real 'dont waste our time'.

:( grumpy me

Where in Yorkshire? Kathryn Rolfe in York has been great for me. Smile

That shop is notorious. I'd go to Bravissimo if you don't have a very good independent store near you. You may not be a D cup (Bravissimo's range are D cup and above) but they are fantastic at measuring.
