Projectile Vomiting (sorry...)

DS is 4.5 months, excl. BF, gaining weight perfectly. We had some projectile pukes when he was very little but they stopped after I cut out dairy. This week he has done a huge, exorcist style puke once a day after a feed. He's not upset by them & is now chattering to himself in his cot as I sluice regurgitated BM off me and the sofa. Still have wet & dirty nappies and he's sleeping fine. Doctor says it could just be a GI bug and provided he's not bringing up every feed just to keep an eye on it. I just read that another cause could be overfeeding - anyone have any experience with this?? I do sense that he's starting to space out his feeds a bit but I'm still offering every 3 hours out of concern that if he goes longer bwn feeds he won't get enough to give him (and us) a long stretch of overnight sleep. Does anyone have any experience with this type of thing? Thank you!

I can't really help as I FF, but just to say that my DD recently had exorcist-style vomiting too (and Diarrhoea) and Doc said it was gastroenteritis. We were advised to feed little and often so she could keep it down and that did seem to help. Not saying this is what your DS has, but do keep an eye on it and check for minging nappies. But bumping this thread for you anyway, perhaps someone will come along in a minute with some better advice.

Hmmm - I think that's what my Dr was suggesting but the nappies haven't been any more minging than normal - I'll keep an eye on them though, thank you:)
