Extended BFers - when did your periods come back?

Hi, I've been breastfeeding DS for 14 months and still haven't had a period. DS has only had one bf a day since he was 12 months and maximum 2 a day since 9 months so I thought I'd have had something by now. Am I fairly normal or is something wrong? Any experiences would be great! Thanks.

I think it depends on the person as to whether a break/reduction in feeds has an effect.

DS dropped from 3-5 wakings a night to 1, and then went on nursing strike for 3 weeks. Two months later I think my body's working on things but it's not there yet.
