My 19 week ols daughter has just had her first bottom tooth through and she keeps nipping my nipple whilst feeding. It's really uncomfortable but I want to keep bfeeding her as I was doing really well with it after a difficult start. How do I stop her from doing it?

It might take her a little while to adjust to having a tooth. If she's latched on properly then she shouldn't bite because her tongue will be covering her bottom teeth so you should be able to tell when she's going to bite because she will stop sucking and come off the nipple slightly.

There are some good tips here on how to deal with it.

Curly I had this for a short while when DC1 was around 7 months. I called one of the bfing helplines, did what they said and it stopped straightaway.

Was on the point of wanting to stop but really glad I made the call as I went on to feed him for much longer.
