Anyone else have/had an absolute boob MONSTER?

So my 5.5 mo ds still cannot go more than 2 hours without a feed, and this is only at night (we co-sleep to save my sanity!). In the day he likes to do a lot of comfort sucking. I give him free access to the boob, on mat leave at the mo and he is pfb so no reason not too, just wondering if anyone else has experienced similar? When did yours start asking less frequently?

Yes, me. My DS is 8.5 months. He literally was on the breast non-stop for the first 4 weeks of his life and didn't space out his feeds more than 2 hourly for aaages. Certainly not while he was ebf.

He is going for longer than 2 hours now (some of the time) but it really varies from day to day. I am doing baby led weaning though, and his interest in food has declined recently so he is feeding more. I also find if he is unwell / teething then he wants to feed more.

I was / am the same as you in that I allow free access to the boob. I am starting to worry about return to work etc though that is not for another 4 months so hopefully he will have reduced his feeds more by then!

Stopped co-sleeping at about 7 months (though still do it if he is unwell / unsettled) as he was starting to want to sleep latched on all night!

Same here with 7.5 month old - still co-sleeping so she can comfort suck most of the night, and still feeding on average every 2 hours if we are at home and its available (BLW here and she thinks food is just a toy to smear over her face and bib, not quite figured out that swallowing it is good...)

She can go a good 4 hours without if we are out and about and more interesting things are happening mind you...

DD was like that didn't drop a single milk feed till 8months and was still feeding untill I was PG with DS and encouraged her to stop at 2years 10months.

Thats why we cosleep with DS really wish I just done that with DD feel a bit sad about that now as DS is no wear as near such a boob monster. In fact he suprised me y going 3-4hours really early on.

Gosh, I don't think anything would distract Ds enough to make him forget the boob!

Honestly, at first I wondered how I'd ever feed in public. Nowadays there's hardly a place in town I haven't fed in!

Similar here strawberriesandscream
DD is 16 months old, and feeds a couple of times in the day, as well as when she wakes up at night. She will also only feed to sleep Blush
