Bra size after breastfeeding

Hi,

I just wondered how long after finishing breastfeeding you can expect your bra size to stop changing. I'd really like to go and buy some new bras but no point if they won't fit in another month!! I stopped breastfeeding a month ago!

NoTea think mine settled after a couple of months.

Hi - I stopped EBF when DS2 was 5.5 months old but was 3 stone overweight. I still was feeding 2 or 3 times a day for the next 6-8 weeks, and I started dieting. They kept on changing until I lost (most of) the weight and was back at pre-DC size.

I bought one new one at 6 months as was going back to work and wanted to have at least one that fitted well - it was a 34D, although feeding ones were 36DD. I washed it at night and managed with one. I was then 34C after I stopped feeding altoghter (I had one that size) and now at back to 34B - probably 3-4 months after stopping but more to do with loosing weight I think.

So in response - if you stopped a month ago and don't seem to be producing milk and aren't overweight then it should be ok, if you have weight to loose it might take some time until your size is stable.

Do everyone's breasts decrease in size afterwards?
I was 32DD, I'm now 32C and don't want to get any smaller.

i stopped feeding dd about 6 weeks ago, they have returned to pre preg size now (started 34c, got up to 34e at biggest, but it was a gradual process on the way back down as she was 13 months when i stopped, so the milk supply was gradually dwindling as she dropped down in number of feeds per day)

Reckon it depends a bit how long you fed for. I breastfed DD for over a year, and my size changed from when I first started feeding a bit at about 8 months or so, but then remained pretty stable from then on even when I eventually stopped feeding - I got new bras once she was down to one feed a day and they fitted fine after I stopped.

Tabitha, don't say that - I'm desperate to get rid of my horrible Jordan-esque boobs, but DS is 8 months and I'm still feeding (not for want of trying to stop). I never thought a consequence of BFing would be that I might have to spend a fortune on breast reduction!
