DD usually has 8oz bottle at night - she has just turned 1 and so have moved onto toddler milk but on the back it says to only give 5oz - anyone else encountered this and what did you do? Gave her 5 last night and she went crackers when she had finished it - we had to top it up!

Why don't you just move her onto cows milk now she is one. It is much cheaper and you can give her the amount she wants.

Toddler milk is an unnecessary rip off.

ywith my niece shes also 1 will give her 8oz water to 5 0z powder so she still thinks shes gettin 8oz but actually only gettin 5oz also keeps her hydrated aswell... iyswim!

apparently they get to much iron if you give them over 1ooz a day!

hope this helps

I went from Aptamil no2 milk to cows milk when DDD was 1. All fine for a month until DD had a string of viruses and illnesses and lost lots of weight through not eating. Decided to try the toddler milk for extra vitamins iron etc, but it made her really constipated so stopped.
It smells very sweet doesn't it? I'm sure it has vanilla in it.
I too used 5 scoops in 8-10oz of water.

steben, it might be a good idea to make the change by mixing the two and gradually reducing the qty of formula to cows milk.
