Nipple Piercing and BF

Hi everyone, I'm pregnant at the moment (30weeks +5 days). I'm intending to breast feed if all goes well. When I was 18 I had one of my nipples pierced, I took it out about 6 months ago and it healed up well, but it seems a bit sluggish. It doesn't seem as responsive to stimulus as the other one although it does respond in the end. Will it be a problem for breastfeeding on that side?

I have piercing scars on both sides, I feed from both sides but on the right the scar seems bigger and I have a recurring blockage where the scar is. Mind it should be said that that nipple is also inverted which may be why. Also neither of my children were enthusiastic about feeding from that side.

But as I've said, I feed with piercing scars with no huge problems. Good luck.

I have piercing scars, one was done 3 times, I've had no issues at all.

I have a piercing scar on one side which is about 10 years old. This is also the favoured and more productive side!

Well it's good to know there is a chance it will be okay then! I was slightly concerned that it isn't so keen to go "nippley" IYSWIM!
