Hiya!
My DS is 3 weeks and 5 days and today I'm meeting some people I used to work with for lunch. I'm hoping to fit in a good feed before I leave and shouldn't be out for more than 2 hours. However I'm learning that with a Baby life isn't always that simple and he may get hungry while out.

I wanted to check that 4oz was enough

and

That I could express this after feeds without damaging my supply

Thank you xx

Would it be possible to take your baby with you Ann?

4 oz is prob enough for a 4 week old baby, though.

You will not damage your supply, but you might be a tad uncomfortable when you are out - but if it's only 2 hrs it's not going to kill ya!

Well if it's a one off I don't see how it could damage supply. I did find expressing in the early weeks did change my supply and I found it easier a few months in.

4oz is probably enough for a baby that tiny especially if you've fed before you go. You might find he won't take very much anyway! Also you might find it painful missing a feed so won't want to be out long! (certainly the case with me!)

I'd leave an oz per hour you're away. Actually I'd just take the baby with me Grin
