4 month sleep regression - wanting boob?

I stopped breastfeeding my son at 6 weeks as he was feeding for half hour out of every hour and i was slowly losing the will to live. He is now 16 weeks and was sleeping through all night from 7pm til 6am until a few days ago. I have put this down to the dreaded 4 month sleep regression.

Since this started he is constantly trying to root for my boob, i don't know what to do. I am still producing a small amount of milk, but i do not want to confuse him by starting to breast feed again because i think he only wants it for comfort.

Should i let him comfort himself with my breast, or just work through it with distractions etc? He was never particularly interested until very recently.

He has actually started sucking on my arm and chest and leaving red marks on me (like love bites) from sucking so hard!

he may be teething. if bf him works i would go back to it, why did you stop? (not a dig, just curious)xx

Personally I'd bf again. If you don't want to, does offering a bottle feed when he wakes stop it?
