Baby poop question...

I may be posting this in the wrong place, apologies if I am...

DS is nearly 13 weeks old, he is mostly BF with one bottle of FF at night (of which he usually only has 1 ounce). He had been having dirty nappies, maybe twice a week and plenty of wet nappies. However, over the last few days he has had 2 or 3 dirty nappies a day. Today, they smell very caustic and are a weird consistency. Still yellow though.

Is it normal for pooping habits to suddenly change? He is very happy - smiley and feeding brilliantly otherwise.

Again, apologies if this is not appropriate for the topic.

TIA!

could he be teething?

Mumofaflump · 24/03/2011 16:48

Oh, he could be. He is chewing at his hands a lot, and chewing on thebottle teat. I'll try and have a look later!

teething used to make my dds poops smell vile, might be time to stock up on teething gel!

Ooooo, exciting! My little boy is growing up! :)

They can take ages to come through and expect an even more sleepless night or two before they do. My 20week old is definately suffering from his teeth and there is no sign yet of one appearing. Completely opposite to DD who didn't get a tooth or even show any signs until she was 10 months.
