Why wait 30 min to make a feed, having boiled the kettle?

We religiously set the oven timer once the kettle is boiled, but given you are trying to kill bacteria in the powder and it has to be 'at least 70 degrees', why can't you just use boiling water? Suspect it may be tp protect the parent and prevent complaints to the company for burnt hands etc??

You don't have to wait 30 mins - you wait no longer than 30 minutes.

You can't use boiling water as this is thought to destroy some of the other constituents, but water that has just boiled - that's ok.

If you boil a litre of water, you can leave it no longer than 30 minutes or it will be too cold. If you boil less water it will cool quicker than that though.
