Bottle before bed

The last couple of nights we have giving my 16 day old a formula bottle before bed, around 10pm. He has then slept until around 4-4.30am waking for a good feed on the breast...is it 'ok' to let him go this long? I started with the formula as my supply had dwindled after 2 days off breastfeeding...advice please. Can I keep this up?

yes its fine to let them sleep if thats what they want. if baby was hungry they would wake up well before this.

if you do want to build up your supply again you will need to let baby suckle or try to express after giving the bottle. my dd went to sleep at 10 and woke up at 5 for a feed and she's fine. some people told me to dream feed after a few hours but i'd say getting some rest would do you good so make the most of the sleep time you get.

I think at 2 weeks old it depends whether birth weight has been regained?
