BF 5mo - change in poo? TMI alert

For the past 4days or so, 5mo DD's poo has been different, normally yellow soft korma like (sorry) and its now that with added darker bits in? shes EBF so why is this?

also she normally sleeps well, and now shes been wimpering in her sleep, and even strained and did two poos last night. she never does this. (she's a mid-morning pooper :) ) the best way to describe it is like it has porridge in it?

really confused why its changed.

I find that his poos change all the time (even more so now we've started weaning I'm shocked at how poo obsessed I am ) anyway, they seem to go through phases of colours and textures, and I can only assume it depends how how much they take / digest / feed etc at that time. DS used to always be a mid morning pooper too, and then at about the same age as your DD that changed to being 2 or 3 a day.

All that waffle basically means, things change, I think that's normal and aslong as she seems well, don't worry.

Might be her digestion is changing, might be she has picked up a little bug. Ds got horrible vinegary sloppy frequent poos with bits in when he had virus at 4 months.

If you are worried take her to the doctor. No harm in checking - they love hearing about babies latest slightly unusual poo, tiny rash etc...
