Hi there,

My 5 year old is having his tonsils out in April where he will be staying in hopsital for one night. the problem I have is what to do with my youngest who is just 6 months and still breastfed at least 3 times in the day & he wakes anything from once to 3 times at night.
I really want to stay with my older child in hospital (although DH is available) but being his mummy I really feel it should be me and my DS wants me to stay.

So.... what do I do with my younger DS? Do you think he can stay with us?
He has never had a bottle so will probably not take one and he has never had formula, I dont want to stop BF him just for one night stay in hopsital & I dont think I should be pressured to do so.

What is the best thing to do here, considering my baby will be in the hospital during the day anyway as I cant leave him for long periods is it wise to keep him with me with the chance he can pick something up?

Or do I just give in and let my DH stay with my DS over night?

Advice & suggestions are very welcome for this stressed out mummy!!

:) :)

Ask at the hospital if your youger Ds can stay.
I was in the same boat a few years ago, the hospital pointed out that a baby on the ward would disturb other patients, so DH stayed with him.
It wasn't a problem to have the baby with me during the day, but tbh, looking back, it would have been easier if he could have been with someone else, particularly the day of the op.
