6 month old had short breastfeeds

DD has turned 6 months old and for the past few weeks when we bf, it's not for very long, sometimes just a couple if minutes on one side. She just recently decided she didn't like the nipple shield we have used since she was a week old. I'm going to get her latch checked but she seems to be feeding fine without. My nipples aren't sore.

I'm just a bit concerned about these short feeds. Is she getting enough? She seems happy enough and is on a wee bit solids everyday with a bit of water from a sippey cup as her nappies are a bit pebbley.

I'm wondering if she's just really efficient at feeding now and gets what's she needs pretty quickly. Sometimes she looks likes she's slipping off the nipple like she can't get a grip of it? Or is this her telling me she's had enough as she is a bit grumpy at this point but stops grumping when I sit her up.

Oh dear am I worrying about nothing? I just can't get used to these short feeds!

extra bump Wink

hope she is just being a super fast drinker, will be handy for pre-work feeds!

My Boy is 6 months old. For the last 6-8 weeks at least, he has finished a feed in under 10 minutes. If he only has one side he can be done in average 4 minutes. He is growing well - stretches some 6-9 month clothes - and nappies are full so i'm not worried.

I cant help with the latch thing though.

I think he's just really fast. I hope it doesnt continue into adulthood. I hate food-hooverers.

I have had the same thing with my 6 month old but she seems fine so I am trying not to worry.
