Is my ds telling me to drop a feed?

My 14wo ds has 6 feeds a day, five during the day (between 7.30am and 6.30pm). The sixth one he has at around 3.30am. When he wakes at 3.30am, he doesn't actually cry, but I just assume he has woken from hunger, feed him and he is asleep again in 30 mins. However, over the last few days, he is taking less and less of his 7.30am feed. Do younthink he n longer needs the night feed?

He has been ff since 8 weeks, all his bottles are 210mls and he drains the 3.30am one completely. Times of other feeds are 10am, 1pm, 4pm and 6.30pm.

my DS also did this however his last feed was 8.30is then i would dream feed him between 10-11 where he would take around 2oz. (normally has 4 bottles a day 7oz each feed) i noticed he would start stirring between 4-5 and i use to feed him but was only taking 1-2oz and then his monring feed at 8 he wasn't taking much, so after a few nights of this i gave him his dummy at 4 and then he slept through to 8 but still isn't starving then as wakes up smiling let me change his nappy and have a quick play before his bottle.if you want to try stopping the 3.30 feed how about dream feeding him when you go to ned then offer the dummy if he wakes in the night if he has one and see how it goes. i think the older they get the longer they can go as there not growing as fast and not constantly hungry, what are his naps like during the day?

He has three 45-1hr naps. We tried the dream feed...it seems to really mess with his sleep and means he wakes loads through the night...no idea why!!

DS wouldn't dream feed either, its just not to everyone's fancy.

I would say he's waking out of habit. I would stop feeding him and settle him back down.

If you want him to have the extra bottle, could you cluster feed before bed?

dont take my advice on the dream feed may disturb his deep sleep, funny you say that i've stopped the dream feed with my LO and last night he selpt 8-7 without stirring once! i agree with jesieb try settle for the next few nights and see what happens, i had about 2 weeks with the dumm bettween 4-5 and last night was the first night he didn't stir! he'll prob do something diff tonight though!
