Did you change formula brand for subsequent dc?

Ds was an Aptamil boy. No problems and chose it because it had a nice polar bear on the grit and that seemed as good as any! :)

However it seems to have gotten even more expensive - think it was £1 a box more than other brands! Shock

Did you change brand for subsequent children?
If so why?
If not why not?

I switched brands with ds - dd had sma gold/progress milk. DS started with aptamil first and hungry milk but moved to Cow and Gate follow on milk as it was a bit cheaper. I think Hipp Organic is one of the cheapest milks

I've just looked online at boots.
Per 100g dry formula from standard size box it's
85p sma
85p hipp organic
84p cow and gate
BUT £1 for Aptamil!!! Shock

It never occured to me to change brands. I suppose I knew what the instructions were for that brand and being a worrier it was easier to stick with what I knew. We used Aptamil as it was what DS was given in hospital by the midwife when he wouldn't latch on.

I've only got DS, nearly 11, but TTC, and funnily enough, I'm wondering what brand to go for! (If I manage to conceive a 'normal' DC, and not another ectopic.)
DS had SMA Gold Cap, then the White Cap (but it was actually a blue cap???) cause my Mum and Dad told me to use that cause that's what my two younger sisters and I had, and I just went along with what they told me to do (being a teenager and still living in their house e.t.c).
However, I haven't a clue what to do this time round, I've picked pram, names e.t.c but not milk!
I'm totally confused by all the different ingredients e.t.c Has the ingredients changed since I had DS?
When he was a baby, Hipp was actually more expensive, because it was 'organic', but now it's cheaper!
Also, the guidelines were you could make up a days bottles in advance and stick them in fridge, but you can't do that now, apparently, is this because of new added ingredients, that weren't in it eleven years ago?
I'm totally confused!
Although, I wouldn't use Aptamil, just cause of the price. I wouldn't use Cow and Gate either, cause I think it's cheap looking, and I've heard it stinks! so I'll probably use SMA again or Hipp.

Hipp did weird things to DD's poo, we used Sma mostly because it's the easiest to find in shops, will likely do the same for DC2.
