why is my baby screaming sometimes when i give her a bottle not always though doc pescribed gaviscon which hasnt worked changing formula hasnt worked it can be during the day or at bedtime but nver in the middle of the night

she does several poos a day

please help?

Age of baby; when this started; whether your baby has any breastfeeding and if so does this happen then....etc etc.

my baby is 11 weeks old she is forumla fed and it started maybe 3 or 4 weeks ago when it happens it really upsets her she starts to drink but then screams have tried teething gel also in case it was that, its virtually impossible to give her a bottle before bed as she is that worked up even though her last bottle would be sometime ago but like i said can also happen in the day. thanks for replying.

What a puzzle.

One thing to try: wind her down gently and gradually to bedtime, so she is calm and unstressed, and try offering the bottle in a quiet, darkened room, removing it as soon as she starts to show distress, and waiting until she is very calm before offering it again.

What does the HV say?

hv wasnt much use really just said change her milk which i have done, she has a good bedtime routine and goes down about 7 and sleeps till about 3 then back to sleep till 7 after her feed, she loves her bath etc but i dont know what triggers it normally she goes to sleep as soon as she calms down so she doesnt want the bottle then, it doesnt happen every night can start at different times there is no pattern at all somedays it doesnt happen at all.

thanks for helping think am gonna tak her the docs again.

Could she be tired? My DS sometimes refused his feed (bf) at bedtime if he is really tired.

Has GP prescribed Gaviscon for reflux? Only that sounds exactly like what my DS used to do.
He seemed hungry but screamed as he was drinking, and often gave up through exhaustion, it was not always at the same time of day either.
GP said it was acid in his throat while trying to drink and once he went on ranitidine at 3 months it stopped.
Maybe take her back to GP and describe how she drinks to them??
