Kettle with broken filter- a no-no for making up formula?

I think I'll probably give dc2 some formula at some point but am doibtingthe quality of the kettle we have.
It has a filter to stop the flaky limescale bits getting in your cuppa BUT it's got a massive hole in it. So you can end up with bits in your cuppa. Not super noticeable
Is this ok for making up formula?

You'd think after feeding ds ff and him being fine I'd be less stressy! :)

I would want a new kettle but DP would want to use a tea leaf strainer.
Sorry I am of no help Blush
Buy a small cheapie 2 cup kettle in Tesco or some where just for the bottles?

Clean your kettle?

I'd say you do need to avoid any solid bits, but a tea strainer or just cleaning the kettle would do IMO.
