My ds is 8 weeks old and has always been a fussy feeder - He has been FF from birth and usually takes 1-2 oz fine and then becomes angry and fusses with the teat spitting it out and cries - His weight gain is ok and has been checked out my Dc at hospital who say he is fine and some babies are just slow and fussy to feed - have been looking on the internet today and got a bit worried that his slow, fussy feeding may be linked to the fact he gasps a bit good few times a day and he also chokes for no apparent reason, doesnt go blue just coughs and gets a bit upset, the choking isnt linked to me feeding - sometimes he is just lying down.. Dc says his breathing is fine - does anyone elses baby do this - could he have a problem swallowing? Any advice would be great

my grandson, doesnt choke, but he was only taking a bit and then shaking his head side to side.we were reccommended to change his teat,he is only 10 weeks, but we changed it to no2,which is for 3 months old,but it did the trick,we found the newborn taet was too slow, and so he was getting frustrated poor thing, and his weight gain was very slow, but now he is settled and just over 12lb,good luck.

I should speak to your HV/GP.
