Biting Baby

My son is 14 months and I still BF at night time. Over the past couple of months he has begun to bite me as he finishes his feed. I have tried stopping him from falling asleep at the breast but he screams untill I put him back on. I have tried 'punishing him' by refusing to feed. There is no point telling him 'No' as he is asleep...Today he actually made me bleed....Please, has anyone got any advice?

I have no advice, but bump for you, so that someone who does can see it!

I didn't bf to the same age but when my dd bit me I took my mum's advice and held her nose (they have to let go). I'd then stop the feed. She only did it at the end of the feed and thankfully not often.

Thanks for this but sadly I have tried this method too, but as it is right at the end and he does it so quick there is no time... it bloody hurts....maybe its time to wean fully.

I thought you might have done. Hopefully someone with better ideas will pop along soon.

Don't have any advice, just wanted to say my DD (12mo) started doing this recently too at the end of feeds and has cut down from 6 feeds a day to one so I'm not sure if it's a sign she's self weaning or not.
I had great success with telling her off and stopping feeds when she bit before but it's not working this time.
I will be watching this thread for advice!
