My DS is 7 weeks old. He is EBF and gaining weight well, lots of wet nappies and passing about 4 yellow runny stools a day. The only problem we have is that he farts A LOT!

He does not seem uncomfortable but i am wondering if it could be anything in my diet affecting it? He doesn't burp lots but i guess thats because it's all coming out the other end Grin

Any ideas are greatly appreciated :)

If he's well, and thriving, and not in any discomfort, then, sorry, why would you worry and want to go to the hassle of changing or even thinking about changing your diet?

He doesn't care if he farts - why should you? :) :)

Very true, think it was just as someone looked round at us after he farted in the doctors surgery i thought maybe it is something wrong.

I'll leave him to trump till his heart is content, at least they don't smell :)

You could teach him to say 'oops!'

Farts are normal! Just be grateful the gas is not getting trapped in there and hurting him! Or coming out the top end with half his feed!
