Im watching itv and have just seen a cow and gate advert for follow on milk suitable from six months. Are they allowed to do that? I thought 12m was the cut off.

Nope, 6 months is the cut off. I suppose it's from the exlusive bf for 6 months thing.

Ah. I think that partially explains why all but one of my friends stopped bf at six months, and why mine and DHs family are a bit Hmm about me still BFing my 10mo.

Yes, I think a lot of people have taken the message to be, feed until 6 months and then stop. DS is 6 months next week, so I'm gearing myself up for the comments starting Grin

I think the rules should be 12 months really, seeing as "food is fun until they're 1" and all that.
