help....stopped feeding

Hi there..

my 2 week old baby is only having 2 oz per feed. We feed every 3 hours, 8 feeds a day. She is on Cow and Gate comfort milk as she has terrible tummy pain, we are not sure if it is colic or reflux but she was having 3 oz but since we put the feed up to 4 oz which is what she should be on, she will on take 2 oz. is this awful? she is only small at 6Ib 11 just worried she os going to lose weight!!!

Would she feed more often than 3 hours - maybe little and often is the way to go?

i don't think she would....i reckon her tummy gets so painful its causing a bad connection between the pain and feeding.

I am at my wits end..... :-(

Have you taken her to the doctor? Could be something like reflux or a milk allergy.

not yet...gonna speak to HV on tues, and see if she has lost weight, give it 2 more weeks then maybe try cranial osteopathy....just feel like a lost cause. I feel so helpless when she is in pain!

If she's in pain I wouldn't wait for weeks, I'd take her to a doctor.

Don't hang about for weeks if you have health concerns! Reflux would need a doctors help. Maybe see the HV first but you should get your LO checked out IMO.

If you're in pain do you wait 2 weeks to see a doc?
