So... I stopped feeding my 8month 3 week old dd 10 days ago ( sob, yes, regret, a bit etc) for various reasons

but... I just want to find out if it is normal...
she has about 2-3ish x 4ozish bottles during the day ( morning, after breakfast and midafternoon) then has 5oz after bath and 6oz dream feed at 1030, then she wakes at 3ish RAVENOUS... last night drained 6 oz in 3 mins, and wanted more...

should she still be having the night feeds? Is there any advice as to how to get her off the 3am waking? I dont want it to be a habit.

BTW; she has always been a small feeder, never took more than 5 mins a feed BF and not more than 4 oz ebm in a bottle before- so the big bottles is a new thing..

She is having 3 meals, good meals and would hve more than 4 oz between meals, maybe up to 6oz but the once she has done this she wasn't bothered about solids at the next meal.....

Weight gain is good (25th percentile) any advice?
Hungry milk at bedtime and night, stage 1 the rest of the time.

Thanks, sorry for the long post

Sorry can't offer advice, just support. They are all different and i think breastmilk is quicker to digest than formula so since you have recently switched then maybe she had just got in the habit of waking up as her tummy was empty. Maybe you could offer some solids along with her after bath feed? Re increased amounts - at her age she is becoming more mobile and using more energy so probably just needs more calorific intake. Ten days is not long...although at 3am it feels like it. Good luck.
