Enough milk?

My 12 week old goes to bed at 6pm after a seven ounce bottle and will sleep through till 6/7am. I am worried he is not going to get enough milk. He only has four bottles during the day of anything between 5 to 7 ounces so at the most is getting about 24 ounce a day. Is this enough? I can't really go off his weight as he has only been doing this for a few days so can't tell yet. Should I be giving him a dream feed? When I have tried a dream feed before it seems to mess up his sleep for the rest of the night.

Worried I am starving the mite. He is having wet and dirty nappies and is very content, but if you go off the norm he should at 30lb be having about 30 ounce.

Thanks x

Your 12 week old weighs 30lb? Surely not?!

At 12 weeks you should be feeding on demand. So IMO if he's not demanding it, don't worry! If he is putting on weight, wet and dirty nappies, and content after a feed then I think he is getting enough.

Enjoy it while it lasts, you have the 4 month sleep regression to look forward to!

I am sure you have googled this already, but this link might help. It suggests that 24 oz would be in the normal range for a 3 month old. Also suggests weight in lb x 2.5 for the number of ounces he needs in 24 hours, but remember they're all different, I don't think it sounds like you have anything to worry about.

I agree with RJ, if he's happy with that amound, alerst, weeing & pooing ok etc then that's fine.
