Supply worries

For the past 3 nights my 4 week old ds has gone for 6 hours through the night, dropping his usual 2 or 3 am feed. Although I am pleased about getting more sleep, I am worried that missing the night feed will affect my supply as I had read that the night feeds are more important for this? Should I be expressing to keep my supply up, just in case these few nights have been an anomaly?

Should add he is still feeding every 2/3 hours during day.

I was told that one 6 hours sleep in 24 hours is just fine for supply. lucky you :)

I agree with MC, she will catch up during the day and so your supply should be fine.

Don't worry about it, it'll probably change again in a few days ;) just enjoy the rest while you get it :)

I also worried when this happened. But then a few weeks later we were back to feeding 3 times in the night. So def enjoy it now :o

My DD did this and at first I had to express as I woke up engorged, but that was probably because I had some over-supply due to pumping since her birth (she started in scbu). I've since phased out the night pumps and supply seems fine - DD is now 10 wo. Enjoy the sleep!
