Periods not returning post bf

With my DC1, my periods returned before I stopped bf, and DC1 self-weaned shortly thereafter.

DC2 started refusing breastmilk about 2 months ago, which I thought heralded the return of my periods. I started expressing and winding down bm production over Christmas, with my last few ounzes having been expressed mid January. By that point, I had been expressing once every 72 hours or so, so not producing bm on a huge scale or anything.

However, I have not had a period. I have done a pregnancy test in the last week just in case, and I'm not.

May I ask, is there anyone out there with similar experience to reassure me. Thanks!

My periods took a couple of months to return after I stopped breastfeeding my first.
The same for my sister, she actually went to the doctor and said she was worried that she had started bleeding for no reason and he laughed and said it was her period returning...
You are normal and fine...

FWIW, my periods didn't return until about 5-6 months ago. That's over 4.5yrs AFTER DD (last DC) was last BF (she'll be 5 in 2 weeks).

Been tested for almost everything period-related and all came back fine.

If you're worried, you could have a chat with your GP.

Sorry that should be 4-5 months ago, not 5-6.
