Why does DD do this

As she's feeding she has started turning her head towards the floor whilst still sucking so that she drags the nipple down with it. Ouch. And then relatches immediatly anddoes it again - repeated many times. Any ideas why and more importantly how to stop her? She is 16 weeks

Oh yesvthe clamping and pulling defo ouch!

Dd used to do this I read you should stop the feed and put them down, tells them if they do that it interupts the feed.

My lo does this also, she is 14 weeks, I have taken to bf her in a cover, bit like a horse with blinkers on, it's working a little bit but she will still clamp down.

Will be interesting to see what others say.
