Anyone changed formula?

My 12 week old has been formula fed (SMA Gold) since he was 3 weeks old. In the last 4 weeks he's been throwing up an awful lot after feeds and his weight gain tailed off at the same time. I'm not unduly concerned (he's on the 75th centile!) but I'm just wondering whether switching to another formula might help but nervous that this might introduce another issue, i.e. upset his tum. Any advice from anyone who's switched would be gratefully recieved!

The only time I switched formual with my dc was when I moved them from Blue to gold then red if I remember rightly.But I would ask the health visitor next time you go get him weighed again.

He may have a problem digesting it also so before switching I would check him out.:)

My ds only has one formula feed a day, but I was using Aptimil. They put the price up massively so I switched to SMA but it gave him really runny nappies, so switched again to Cow & Gate and he's fine.

I suspect the formula companies say you mustn't switch just so you can't shop around.

My DS has one FF a day, and I decided to use SMA. But DP came home with Cow&Gate - didn't notice - and only after DS gulped it down did we realise. DS was/is fine.

MoonUnitAlpha, DS does have quite runny nappies, maybe its the SMA. I may see whether switching to Cow&Gate helps ...

It may well be a case of just switching but if you try that and it still don't work then I would see health visitor.

I switched to SMA from Cow&Gate at 6 weeks because DD was rather 'bunged up'. She took to the new milk straight away and was pooping normally within a few days (maybe a bit TMI )

When DD wa son formula I often swapped between aptamil and cow and Gate depending on which one my local shop had in stock! I didnt think there was much actual difference between brands?
