Hi, despite this being DC2 I can't remember when I changed up from slow to medium flow teats. DC is 8 weeks old. TIA

I changed when they took ages to take a feed and often fell asleep after taking very little

I went up when dd seemed to struggle and was just not feeding normally - took my lead from her.

The bottles we used had a 1, 2 and 3 rating but dd only started on bottled at 8 months so used 2 (they came with the bigger bottles), then went onto 3 when she started struggling and taking ages getting frustrated (like you I have no idea when that was, probably around 1 before going fully onto beakers but she was used to beakers in the day time).

Sorry, that's not very helpful.

Can always try and see how it goes with faster teat? If it doesn't go well, have the slower teat on hand to change back?

I changed from Avent 1 to 2 at about 4 weeks, possibly earlier, then Avent 2 to 3 at about 4 months and it took a little while for DD to get the hang of them. Even now she can be a little messy with the 3 as she sometimes stops to smile with a mouthful of milk.

I changed from a slow flow when baby started taking quite a while to feed and was sighing (like she was getting tired) when she was doing so - can't remember when this was, think it was around 4 months. Variflow really suit her.

We changed from stage 1 to 2 when DS started to take 45 mins for a feed instead of his usual 20 mins, plus he was getting blisters on his lips from working so hard for the milk. That was at about 7 or 8 weeks.
