Hello girls,
We are from long holiday and DD is got cold, been hospital last night straight from airport and they said it could be very slight whooping cough. She hasnt drink milk for 4 days and not drinking enough fluid. She only drinkg 4oz fruit juice a day. We ran out of SMA gold during holiday and offered her Nestle NAN from Russia and she took it fine but last couple days she is been coughing so bad, she vomitted entire milk she had.She wouldnt touch milk at all. LAst night when she was asleep i dropped the milk into her mouth, she swallowed it slowly about 1 oz and next thing she vomitted it all out still asleep. We were all surprised, it seemed like her body totally rejeting milk. She wouldnt have yougurt for days but yesterday i managed to give her 2 pots of muller yogurt, and she kept it. She is on antibiotics and she seems happy, playing and giggling, with occassonal bad cough. When she coughs bad she vomiites all out, which worries me. Doctors said its normal I dont even know why i seeking advie if its normal. Im worried, seems she is not keeping anything down.
Any advice and experience appreciated,
Divochka(@_@)

No ideas but I can see why you are worried - this has been going on a long time. I'd go to the GP tbh.

Hi, I have had some similar experiences. My DS had lots of vomitting up feeds with coughs over last winter. Dr explained it is totally normal. On the holiday front, while away on a holiday with our first baby who was about 6 mo old too, we also ran out of formula and the local formulas she could not keep down, every one I tried she vomitted back up. I presume now that you are back you are trying the UK formula ? Another tip from my first child was when she was poorly was to dilute the formula with 50% water to make it easier to digest. And to control the amount of liquid going in at a time - so lets say, just put 1 or 2oz in a bottle. After 30 mins if that has stayed down, you can give the same again. If she vomits up, you need to wait an hour before trying again - thats the guidelines we got. Important obviously to get fluids into her but if she's eating well and seems happy I wouldn't be too too concerned. I know as a parent though, you worry nevertheless. Best of luck.

do you mean make milk watery? less formula more water?

Yes, thats what I mean. More water, less formula... so if you normally put say 1 scoop to 2 oz water ... you put 1 scoop to 4 oz water. Sorry its a while since I've made up formula - so I don't know the correct measurements but you get the idea.
