Anyone got any amazing winding techniques?!

Dd1 was terrible at bringing up wind, or so I thought. I now have 4 day old DD2 who is even worse! I am ebf at the moment and she has a tongue tie (don't know if that makes wind worse). I have tried all methods I can think of or have been shown so wondered if anyone had any successful methods I haven't tried?!

I sit ds on my knee supporting his head under the chin.
If he's struggling to burp, I gently press his tummy whilst rubbing his back at the same time. Not hard enough to make him sick obviously!
He doesn't like his back being patted (makes him jump!)
He also has tongue tie, but as yet (3 weeks) haven't had a problem with it.

You could also try holding your dd face down over your arm and rub her back (I think it's called Tiger in a tree or something like that!)

Someone wonderful on this site, who if I knew their name I would hunt down and kiss suggested

A) bicycling their legs to help the baby wind

And

B) sitting baby upright on your knees and blowing into their lower back and stomach like a didgeridoo, the vibrations and heat both help.

Absolute life savers for me!

It's unusual for 4 day olds to be troubled by wind. Usually if they are fussing and struggling it means they just want to be snuggled in close to you, and not put down to sleep alone.

All the fannying about to try and get wind up can cause stress :(
