Cluster feeding at 3 days old???

DD2 is 3 days old. My milk came in today and she has fed A Lot. Since 5pm this evening she's not been off the breast for more than half an hour. She is latched on and sucking well, just keeps crying for more.

So remind me, this is normal, right? And am I going to get any sleep tonight???

Congratulations though!

It's normal

It's all about boosting your supply

Will you get any sleep? Erm, unlikely Grin

Can you co-sleep

This saved my sanity with DD - sleeping with her meant I could latch her on and remain horizontal

It will settle down now your milk is in

Congrats on your new baby

Yes it's normal- and good!! Smile

Frequent feeding in the early days will help build your supply up. She will just want to be close to you as well - she only knows your smell and the sound of your voice.

Just go with it and sleep when you get the chance.

It's normal. Try to work out how to feed lying down. If you're not happy co-sleeping or aren't set-up for it yet, get your OH or visiting relatives to watch over you or check on you regularly.

Did you get any sleep?

Did you get any sleep?

It will settle a little bit in a day or so. Wth dd3 I was up all night having her then up all the next night feeding so by the next day I felt quite peculiar......but then she did start sleeping a bit. You MUST nap today if she does.
