10 mo baby just getting his first tooth and it seems to be rubbing my nipple and making it a bit sore. Tell me it gets better not worse! Bit worried! Thanks Smile

It gets better. Part of the problem I found was that DS latched on a bit funnily - maybe he found it weird too! Now he's got ten teeth and I hardly notice.

Took a few days as the first one was cutting. Not noticed them since.

Definitely gets better. DS gets it with most new teeth for a few days before it goes away again (he's got 12 now).

I'm getting this, hoping it will calm down as having problems - had to get some cream from the docs, helped to calm the dryness and soreness a bit. DD has 3 teeth now, one coming through, 10months, and whilst only biting occasionally ( I stopped feeding her during the day for now, as she was doing it more then - she has a bottle at the CM anyway)she does seem to latch awkwardly most times.

Then again, if I had a new tooth suddenly sprout in my mouth, I would do strange things! It does seem to settle after a few days with the new ones.

Phew, relieved it will get better. Thanks so much all for posting! x

I find it takes a few days for every tooth. They have to adjust their latch slightly and it can take them a bit to get it right.

DS2 has almost a whole mouthful of razors now at 10.5mths. He is mostly careful with them but bites when he gets tired/cranky/super hungry.

Hurts like a fucker.
