MAM bottle drawng up water?

I think the holes in the bottom are drawing up water...

I make feed up fresh, put into pyrex with water and ice for speedy cooling. Of course when you shake the bottle some froth appears making it look like theres perhaps half an ounce or so more. But on more than one occasion theres been what looks like up to two ounces more in there!

Anyone found this with these bottles? I dont use the feeds when this happens in case they are contaminated/not made up to proper ratios.

I have these bottles, I thought the vent stops this from happening. Maybe your vent has slipped.

I think thats it because when DP made a feed last night, it covered all 3 of us in my painstaking expressed milk. God knows which bottle it was though, it was 3am! Looks like I'll have to spend this afternoon testing them... Confused

I've had this issue too. I always heated the milk in another (vent free) bottle then would pour it into the MAM bottle. I also lost a lot of milk due to not doing the vent and threading the bottom bit on properly and in the end changed to the MAM silk bottles.
