10mo DD refusing bedtime feeds - what to do?

Have also posted this in sleep thread...

10mo DD has refused (well, barely touched)her bedtime bottle and I am worried she is gong to wake in the night hungry.

She did the same last night (although she drank about 3-4oz) and woke at 2am screaming, whereas she had been sleeping through. I put it down to teeth as I know she has some on the way, but I think it was a bit of hunger too as she gulped away at my boob for 5 mins!

I recently stopped BFing before bed as she started to faff about on the boob (I put it down to the fact that I don't think I am producing very much now and so have switched to bottle) she also has 2 bottles in the day (of varying size depending on her mood/appetite), with just a BF on waking (about 7am)

SHe has increased her food intake a bit, but I didn't think it seemed enough to mean she wouldn't need bedtime milk Confused

Does anyone else have any experience of this?

I've had serious problems with getting my DD to have any milk... since trying food thats all she wants, I have to sneak it in everything. So when trying to get her to sleep I make up a super milky rusk just so she has something in her stomach. Maybe that's an idea? :)

thanks kirshti I hadn't thought to do that. I suppose that or some porridge might do the trick.

She did wake in the night for milk as predicted, so she did need it. I'm also not sure if maybe there wasn't a long enough gao after her dinner for her to be hungry enough for the bottle. Will try to do it differently tonight.

How much milk do 10m (nearly 11m actually) olds generally drink, and when?
