Why does DS fight being winded?

My DS hates being winded. He's always been a good feeder, but very windy, so we stop and wind him half way through. This always brings on huge tears, cries, screams and basically a fight to be winded. But we carry on and get a burp up anyway.

Is this normal? Is it him being greedy and hating the bottle being taken away? I wondered if it was reflux because he does cry in pain sometimes and posset a bit and hiccup a lot - but he sleeps for hours on his back and is gaining weight etc

Sounds normal to me, DD always did this. I think its a combination of being uncomfortable from the wind and being confused that the bottle has been taken away while they are still hungry. They are too small to understand that winding will make them feel better.

It is frustratng though especially when you're out in public and your baby is making sounds like you are trying to injure them instead of help them :)

Agreed. Ds2 does this, he's 11 weeks. I put it down to the same things - he's annoyed I've stopped feeding him and cos the wind is making him uncomfortable
