Nor me. Never found one that could accommodate my enormous BF norkage without being tent like elsewhere

Mirabelle77 · 04/02/2011 17:03

Topshop 2 for a tenner.

harecare · 04/02/2011 17:03

Primark? Matalan? Tesco? Yes I am a cheap skate, but I've never found a vest I can't pull down to be honest.

Mirabelle77 · 04/02/2011 17:04

Mind you was only a c cup when bf.

moonstorm · 04/02/2011 17:05

I'm a JJ cup... Maybe that's it... I just find if I do pull them down, they dig in under the breast. I was thinking I was missing something.

Tesco was fine, had a H&M one but it was too small and rode up, baring my midriff anyway! There are some things called Breastvests but they're just vests with a bit cut away!

redandyellowandpinkandgreen · 04/02/2011 17:07

Can you just get a size up from your normal size? The ones with thin straps are better. I got cheapy ones from Matalan and they are not actually stretchy but I sized up so they pull down fine.

WincyEtNightie · 04/02/2011 17:09

Something like this works for me. Size up a little bit and it shouldn't be too baggy under clothes but still give an added bit of stretch.

Worked for me at a 32F/34E cup. I expect that an ever cheaper brand may give even more.

MoonUnitAlpha · 04/02/2011 17:17

I get long Primark ones in a size bigger - they have the little strap adjustment things like bras do.

CharlotteBronteSaurus · 04/02/2011 17:22

topshop do some very low cut ones which are idea for slipping a boob out. having said that my favourite and best is a mothercare bf one as they're really long.

CharlotteBronteSaurus · 04/02/2011 17:24

these ones

EauRouge · 04/02/2011 17:26

I bought these, they have lasted really well and you can get lots of different colours if you want to match them to a top you already have.

moonstorm · 04/02/2011 17:32

Thank you. I think maybe the vests I have bought haven't been low cut enough to start with. I do like very long vests as well - I have a long body.

Will investigate Smile

I use the ones that WincyEtNightie linked to.

Rather than put the straps over my shoulder I put the sraps of my nursing bra through the straps of the vest at the front. Means I can wear more normal size as it doesn't need to stretch excessively.

TruthSweet · 04/02/2011 18:04

See if you can get stretchy strapped vest tops. DO NOT get the ridged ones made from ribbed fabric/trim or the thick strapped ones that are more like a top than a vest/camisole (I have just used these as examples of those styles).

If you can get ones which also have the bra strap type adjuster all the better as you can then have the straps longer to go under easier.

Top tip - tuck the vests into your trousers/skirt then they don't roll/bunch/lift up when you lift your top to feed (you may feel about 110 y/o but it does work).

EveryonesJealousOfGingers · 04/02/2011 18:17

I bought these from M&S - the straps are stretcy as TruthSweet suggests and they are £8 for two

EveryonesJealousOfGingers · 04/02/2011 18:18

Will report back when it arrives!

AbiAbi · 04/02/2011 20:20

I've got a BRILLIANT stretchy tank from H&M's maternity/nursing range, thick straps, long enough to cover to knickers (and I'm TALL!) and I think it was about £8. Bargain!

Nagoo · 04/02/2011 20:21

I wear bump bands. or boob tube type tops.

sheeplikessleep · 04/02/2011 20:22

primark. £1.50. i bought a few one size bigger and adjust the straps.

moonstorm · 04/02/2011 20:39

Not thought about boob tubes. I have bump bands, but they don't really stay in the right place.

mousesma · 04/02/2011 20:42

H&M do long line vests which have adjustable straps and can be easily pulled down. They're quite cheap too and keep their shape really well.

japhrimel · 04/02/2011 23:32

I have a few - from Tesco, M&S and elsewhere - and I'm now FF. They're all so lowcut on my now huge boobs that I couldn't wear them without something over the top but they're great for covering my mummy-ummy and stretchmarks.
