I have really bad scar tissue on both breasts from a breast reduction years ago, so have never got to feed my 2 ds' as nothing ever came through. This time (35 weeks) if I squeeze there is a small amount of leaking! I will ask the mw at next appointment but could I take this as a positive because i'd love to give it a go.

I had a breast reduction 10 years ago and wondered if I'd be able to bf. I never leaked spontaneously but could express a small amount while I was pregnant. I started using a pump to stimulate things right from day 1 and at 6 weeks am still breastfeeding. I was told that the fact that something was able to get through prenatally was a good sign.

Good luck!

onlygirl I'd get in touch with the local NCT or LLL and see if there is a local Bfing Counsellor you can talk to. They should have all the information you need, plus they might even be able to put you in touch with someone else who has experienced this.

anne that's great news Smile
