Ive got a 12 week old baby who weighs 14 pounds, he is taking between 6 and 7 ozs five times a day, 4.30am, 10am, 2.30 pm, 6.30pm and 11.30pm. he is currently on aptamil first milk would i be able to swop his last feed at 11.30 to hungry milk to get him sleeping a little bit longer or do you have to stay on just one type of milk??

I dount it would make much difference tbh. He is doing good with only 1 night waking and hungry milk could make him constipated.

supposed to be 'doubt'

I don't think it would work to be honest.

However if you slowly brought the 10am feed earlier then you may find he has five feeds between 8am and 10pm hence no middle of night waking. Maybe that would work.

Agree with mrswishywashy - maybe if you offer feeds more frequently in the day he'll take enough to go longer at night?

i did this with dd out of desperation but she was waking for a feed at 1am and 4am. i cant remember how old she was though, prob the 12wk mark.

it worked for us, she would have a hungry milk feed at 10.30ish and sleep until 3am when she wanted another feed then she would go back to sleep until 7ish.

never had a problem with constipation which i was worried would happen.
