Changing formula

Hey, I'm currently using Aptamil formula for my 3 month old , but I really want to change to Hipps Organic. I hear your not meant to change, is this true and what are the effects if you do?

I think there's a bit of a "if it ain't broke don't fix it" approach to formula but not sure there's any real reason you shouldn't switch.

I guess you might find the HIPPs doesn't agree with her as it seems not all brands suit all babies (might make her windy, constipated etc) but you could always switch back.

i have chopped and changed brands depending on what the shop i happen to be in sells. dd never had any probs

i've read that switching brands of normal infant formula is fine as they are all basicly the same recipe. the only time it's not alright to just swap is if the baby is on a special formula like soy.

Thanks. I didn't realise there was an organic formula and I'd much rather he have organic than not, hence my reason for change.

FWIW, my son has HIPP Organic and Aptimil (I mostly Bf but use formula once a day, if I have to leave him and for the odd top up) and he switches between the two without any problems

I use HIPP if I can get it, but I live overseas so the supply is a bit erratic,
