Can I share a small triumph?

DD2 is 10 weeks old and after 3 10-hour feeding sessions (which the mw said was 'normal') I got some formula in and have been mixed feeding ever since. She only usually takes 2oz; when DH feeds her if I'm out (I can't express more than 1oz at the most)

Today, I bf her at 6, and 3.5 hours later she's still happy (sleeping currently) and not screaming. I know I buggered up my supply by introducing formula, but she can only feed off one side (seriously I have nothing on the other side, no milk came in at all) and I was on the verge of walking out.

I know it's not much, but for me, it's a huge deal, and I just wanted to share.

I'm so happy for you that your last feed has satisfied your baby Grin

I just wanted to add some encouragement for bf from one side if you'd rather that than mix feeding. I had a very sore nipple on one side, and managed to feed both my twins from just the other side for a week while it healed (expressed from sore side). They were only about 3 weeks old, so I guess my supply may have been very responsive, but it might be possible to feed your baby just from the one side if thats what you'd like to do.

No judgement on different feeding strategies, just wanted you to know that you might be able to up your supply on one side if you want to Smile
