Baby feeding from one side only

My nine month old is only feeding from one side- and has been for about 6 weeks. I can get him to feed from the right side only if i hold him as if he was feeding from the left and sort of twist - even then he is not keen. There definitely doesn't seem to be as much milk from this side (it is almost impossible to express) - but it is still producing!

I think I started this by favouring that side but am not sure why he keeps refusing - he seems to be getting enough from one side only but I am not sure if it could cause other problems - or whether I'd just get really lopsided!

This is unlikely to cause any problems. Most mums have a breast that is more productive, and a breast that is less. You would get lopsided while feeding, but when you stop BF, I think it would likely settle down.

Is he happy, otherwise to lie on both sides etc etc (in case an injury is why he won't feed on one side)?

i only fed from one side and my little one did just fine. I did have very wonky breasts for a while though! settled down back to the same size once milk dried up

My DS did this and I have a friend whose baby also had a distinct preference for one side. I came to the conclusion my nipples must be a slightly different shape. Ended up expressing a lot from the unpopular side!
