9mo self weaning off the breast?

Hi,

DD3 is almost 9 months. The last few days she hasn't really been interested in breast feeding at all.

I think she has sinusitis (she always seems to have a cold) and she is on antibiotics but having a cold has never stopped her before.

Now suddenely she has decided literally overnight that she isn't interested any more.

Does this sound like she is self weaning?

Thanks

Abubu she is highly unlikely to be self weaning before 18 months. Please have a read of this on Kellymom especially the bit on Nursing Strike.

Does that sound like your DD?

Have you spoken to a Bfing Counsellor to see if they have any tips to get her to nurse? That's assuming that you want to carry on Smile

I agree, sounds like a nursing strike especially with the illness. If you do want to carry on BF then just keep offering and see if you can talk to a BF counsellor. Is there a LLL group near you?
